Nobody covers this part properly. Plenty of sites tell you which tool renders the prettiest girl. None tell you what your card looks like three weeks in, when the free credits are gone and you have forty near misses saved and one keeper.
I have paid for most of the big ones. Some monthly, some in a stupid 2am credit binge. Here is how the money moves, and where it leaks.
Three billing models, three ways to bleed
Every tool here runs one of three meters. Which meter matters more than the headline number.
Credit and gem packs
Buy a lump of currency, spend it per generation. PornWorks and CreatePorn lean this way, and nearly every video tool does. It drains in bursts and never feels like spending money, because you already spent it.
Monthly unlimited-ish
A flat fee for “unlimited” output with a fair use ceiling and a slower queue once you get greedy. Promptchan sits here, and so do chat tools like SpicyChat and Candy.ai. Predictable. Also the easiest thing to forget you are paying for. And read the tier names before you click, because they do not always run in order: on Nectar AI the plan called Premium is the cheapest of the three, and the yearly rate on the top tier works out cheaper per month than the middle tier does month to month.
Hybrid daily allowance
Free every day, capped every day. Ten or twenty generations, then a timer. OurDream and AI Nudez play here. The cap is tuned to land just short of satisfying.
Credits feel cheap and end up expensive
The one idea worth taking off this page: your real cost is not per generation. It is per keeper.
Say a pack works out to two cents a render at base settings. Feels like nothing. Now switch on high quality, bigger resolution, the upscale. Premium settings routinely cost three to ten times a standard render, and that is where you will live, because base hands you mush.
Then add failures. Wrong pose. Melted hand. Face drifted off model. Filter ate it. Exploring something new, I keep maybe one render in eight. Two cents at a five times multiplier across eight attempts is eighty cents per keeper. Your ten dollar pack just became a dozen good images.
Subscriptions look worse on paper and quietly win, because the moment rerolls stop costing money you experiment again.
What free really gets you
Free tiers are real. They are also engineered:
- A daily allowance that resets, usually five to thirty generations.
- Back of the queue at peak. US evenings are brutal.
- Watermarks, or a blurred and downscaled preview with the clean file behind the paywall.
- No commercial rights, and sometimes no reposting rights.
- Your gallery public by default. Check that before your first render.
Which one hurts most? Not the watermark. The queue. A tool that answers in eight seconds is one you can iterate with, and iteration is the whole job. Three minutes per attempt kills your willingness to try the weird version, which is usually the good one. The paywall is not on the pixels. It is on the feedback loop.
The ranges I keep landing on
These are ranges I have seen, not a quote from anybody today. Plans and credit values change constantly here, so open the tool’s own pricing page before you type in a card number. My tool rankings cover what each one is for.

Annual billing usually knocks thirty to fifty percent off. Real saving, real commitment. Take it in month three.
Statements, discreet billing and crypto
Adults care about this and nobody writes it down. Most of these companies bill through a third party processor, so your statement shows a neutral holding company or a generic descriptor, not the site name. That is deliberate. Better tools state it at checkout. One that will not tell you is telling you something.
Crypto turns up at higher tiers and kills the statement problem, though those payments are final, so read the refund policy. Declines are common here, and a bounced first attempt is usually your bank, not the site.
How to spend nothing
The cheapest upgrade is not a plan. It is a better prompt. Every reroll avoided is money kept, and the top cause of rerolls is a vague prompt that leaves the model guessing.

Who should pay for what
The heavy image user. Subscription, mid tier, no debate. Past a hundred images a month, credit packs drain faster than you can top them up. Look at Promptchan and PornWorks.
The chat user. Monthly, entry or mid, and pay for memory and context, not image count. A companion that forgets last night is worthless at any price. SpicyChat, Candy.ai or GPT Girlfriend, and OurDream if memory is the thing you are buying, since it is rated for around thirty messages of context. Whichever you pick, write the persona before you pay. The video user. Credits, and budget properly, because video pricing is the one place that is honest about cost. CreatePorn and OurDream.

Nobody selling this will tell you which tier you need. The honest answer is usually the cheaper one.
